VTG 1951 11" Baby Mine Thrift Kit Doll Kewpy Hard Plastic Ideal Crochet or Sew 4

Description

This is a "Baby Mine" doll made in 1951-54 by the Ideal company.  Also known as a Thrift Kit Doll, she was 11.5" tall, made of all hard plastic and Jointed at the shoulder and hip.  She comes in a hand crocheted pattern that has been on her since that time and is no doubt from one of the patterns sold for the doll.  They also sold patterns for sewing as well as for crocheting. and in good con.  She has the Kewpie look and has a molded curl that drops down onto her forehead.  She is marked on her upper back, Ideal Doll.  She is shown in both Izen Ideal books.
Her face is darling with big bright blue side glancing working sleep eyes that came without lashes.  Pretty little red mouth and pug nose.  Her molded painted reddish hair is nice with deeply molded curls on the back of her head.  The side of hair has a rub and a few spots of missing paint elsewhere in hair but not bad. The face has no mars, scratches or blemishes.
The body at one time had some seams that separated.  These have all been well glued and now she has no separating seams..  Please check nude pictures and I don't think they show much.  She has the daintiest little hands with all fingers present.  Body is clean, scratch and stain free.
The vintage outfit is in great condition with some aging to the color as it is off white.  Included is the dress, matching bonnet, and panties, all crocheted.
