    Vintage Dragon with Balloons, artwork by Roger Coast, acid-etched zinc engraving.
    Adorable, fire-breathing dragon / serpent is holding a bunch of six balloons. Silvery artwork, black background. Framed in silver-tone metal. Measures approximately 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 3/4". Frame has some scratches, wear, as shown.
    "The Technique: Coast's drawings appear as acid etched zinc engravings. The zinc has a protective coating that is eradicated as the drawing is burned into it. This leaves the drawing raised and the background eaten away by nitric acid. Each is produced individually. The artist has become nationally recognized for his art and has won many awards."
