USA WWII POW Prisoner Of War Camp Ruston Louisiana LA 5 Cents LA-35-3-5b (Frank-Seelye)

Per Frank-Seelye catalog:The camp operated as a POW camp until June 1946, housing 4,315 German POWs.  In addition to members of the German Afrika Korps captured in North Africa, officers and crew members of U-505 U-boats were also held at the camp.  Additionally, French, Austrian, Italian, Czech, Polish, Yugoslav, Romanian and Russian POWs were also held at the camp.
