, from an original black and white photograph that was hand colored by an artist of the last train run around Waimea Bay 1947. It was copied on Velvia transparency film and then printed on Epson professional glossy paper with archival inks. Please note that because it was from film it looks a little grainy on the larger photo. It comes with photography information and Hawaii railroad history in the label on the back of the mat. Our prices are less than you would pay retail at a gallery and production costs are lower than most folks so we want to offer affordable quality art for people who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
Please note:

It makes the print look like there is a margin around the photo (which you can see if you look at the photo) and is not a mat board cutout. An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo.
Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using archival photo adhesive and cannot be easily removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. If you want to use a larger frame and can't figure out how to do it with the photo mounted on the backing board, contact us and we can explain how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10 inch frame and displaying the image as is.
