This is a replacement quick release plate which fits
the Vivitar VPT240 Tripod.
Please note carefully. This is for the Vivitar VPT240 Tripod only.
This is NOT for the VPT240SE or other models

This was the popular quality tripod from Vivitar in the late 90's into the 2000's
Pretty easy to tell by looking for the two 'notches' in the receiving well.

Poly molded construction, with notched lock, 1/4-20 screw and video pin.
A quick release plate will attach to the camera's tripod mount and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from a compatible tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
Having the same number of quick release plates as the number of cameras and/or large telephoto lenses in use allows you to leave one on each, enabling the rapid change of equipment with minimal fuss, essential for the professional or advanced amateur photographer.
