    Description

Just unpacked from a box packed away many years ago:  I discovered this beautiful set of Carnival Glass tumblers in a lustrous marigold color.  The pattern is "Stork and Rushes" and there seems to be some confusion as to whether it was manufactured by the Northwood Glass Company or the Dugan Glass Company.  According to the book "The Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass" (revised 3rd edition - Bill Edwards - 1991), there were shards of this pattern found when they were digging at the Dugan Plant.  However, this pattern also looks a lot like many other Northwood patterns so it is difficult to establish who made it exactly.  Be that as it may, this is a beautifully-detailed pattern with FOUR STORKS molded onto each glass and RUSHES as would be seen near the water.  The color is Marigold and it is a rich and lustrous color with highlights of red and gold and yellow and brown.  Each tumbler stands 4 inches tall and there are pitchers out there to be found should you be lucky or if you want to put together a set.  Two of the tumblers have a bubble in the glass near the top of the tumbler.  The four tumblers are sold as a set and I actually have two sets for sale at this time.  The CONDITION of the FOUR TUMBLERS is GREAT with only one tumbler having a tiny chip on the bottom ridge of one tumbler - it is 3/8" in diameter.  Otherwise, there are no chips, no cracks, no discoloration, no damage at all.  The color and the pattern make these tumblers OUTSTANDING!!  I have been buying and selling antique glassware for more than 25-30 years and I rarely see this pattern.  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You will be very delighted with these glasses.  Thank you for visiting my eBay Store and Happy Shopping!!
