JimmyJib owner/operators have been asking for this for a long time! Introducing the ‘all new’ control/brain/system for 2021! OUT with the 1970s based analog circuitry and IN with the new modular designed digital platform with many new features and ready to add more features as needed!

The new 5a control unit is based around a 32 bit – 8 cog microprocessor which has, tons of horsepower, to handle any task we throw at it. It’s also equipped with portable memory that’ll make firmware upgrades a breeze.
The 5a supports all the connectivity and features of Stanton Video’s previous versions and a whole lot more! It also utilizes all existing cabling and connectors.
This unit no longer requires a special power supply! Any standard, appropriately rated, 12 volt video supply or battery will work! You may connect mains power directly to the rear of the unit, use your legacy power supply or utilize our provision for an optional V Mount or 3 Stud Mount battery bracket. There’s even a dedicated 12 VDC power connection for your tally system. The system also has two auxiliary 12 VDC receptacles to power monitors and other devices. The front panel now features two 5VDC USB ports.
Standard 8 pin and 12 pin lenses connect as you have in the past for zoom only operation. The combination of the 8 pin zoom and 4 pin focus cable feeds signals to the various newer types of lenses through our new breakout box. These lenses are connected via short adapter cables fitted with the appropriate connectors for that particular lens. Zoom, Focus & Iris support, for fully manual lenses, are provided through the iris connector.
The case has the same footprint as the 4C with a bit more depth to accommodate the battery plates.
