Fitment Detail:
Strut spacers used for leveling: Be aware, NOT all spacers are designed to work with the new 2015-2020 - F-150 trucks. Various manufacturers are selling their last year spacers saying it rolls up to the 2015-2020 model years and that it will fit 2004-2020. The 2015 and up F150 needs to use a new designed spacer, that offsets the strut inwards slightly for proper clearance in relation to the upper control arm / ball joint. A lot of kits on the market are just dropping the strut straight down, which causes the control arm / ball joint area to contact the coil spring. This is the first thing to check if your arm is hitting the coil spring. A cheap spacer will make your life very difficult on a new F150's
Second, A exact level stance is not achievable on 2015-2020 - 4WD F150 trucks due to the geometry of the front CV axles. 2.25" is the safest amount of front lift obtainable on these trucks while retaining the factory ride and geometry requirements. I know, everyday people tell us you can go bigger, trust us, you will pay for it later in CV boot problems and increased axle wear. Also the arm will hit the coil spring and getting the alignment in spec will be a fight.
Rule of Thumb. To ensure proper leveling kit fitment on a stock truck, using a plumb bob line (for a clean vertical) to measure from the center of the wheel hub to the bottom edge of the fender at the 12 oclock position while the wheels are pointing straight forward. If this measurement is greater than 22" then the truck already has some factory front lift compared to a base truck. For distances measuring greater than 22" as described above, a 2.25" spacer IS NOT the correct kit. For distances measuring greater than 22" as described above, use a 1.5" Leveling Kit to ensure proper front lift height and suspension geometry. Incorrectly using a 2.25" spacer on a truck with 22" distance may result in UCA suspension component interference and/or excessive ball joint wear.
