Here we have a beautiful Meissen German porcelain crossed snake handles and each side with a hand-painted floral bouquet, gilding throughout with acanthus terminals. Later mounted as a lamp and I have not taken it apart but I will guarantee this is Meissen. I sold a pair in the last couple years.
This is the smaller version so the porcelain is about 10.5" tall with some loss and wear to gilding but I see no chips or cracks, the snakes are usually the first to break but these are in great shape and the lamp works as well. The lamp to socket is 16.75" tall and about 6.5" at its widest. Needs to be tightened as it is a little loose.
Most likely late 19 to early 20th c.
