    Description

Antique lovely victorian c.1899-1900 antique creamer and sugar set by the Northwood Glass Co.,
The pattern is called Town Pump and Trough.
It is a clear glass with heavy White Opalescent glass.
The design is suppose to represent an old log (the sugar bowl) and a tree stump (the creamer) with extra ordinary detailing.
This set is original to each other. Several glass companies like Fenton and L G Wright have made reproductions of these pieces but the creamer has a flat top and is not scalloped like the original, also the detailing is not as pronounced.
This White Opalescent set glows tremendously under a black light but also glows in normal UV daylight.
    In my research I
found a picture of this same colored set in the EAPG Glass Society stating it was a creamer and sugar set.
The creamer measures 6 3/4 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide from spout to handle.
Condition is very good with no cracks but does have some little nibbles and a little rough o
n some of the feet which isn't noticeable because of the design and swirls and a small chip on the inside of one of the legs of the sugar.  There is also slight scratches on the creamer, but have to look extremely close to see them.  You actually have to pick it upside down and look for them. There is also a small chip on the sugar bowl, but does not distract from it's beauty.
Measurements on the sugar bowl is 5 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide.
